Balloon Fiesta 2015

We went to the balloon fiesta this year (Jacob and Elise stayed home last year) and had a great time. We got pictures of the balloons going up and of the kids watching them. Although we went during "kids' day" and dressed our kids up to get free gifts for doing so, it turns out that they neglected to implement that part of kids day. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the kids activities they did have. Tyler was dressed as a fireman and Elise was dressed as a tiger, and we looked at NASA stuff and got craft activities for the kids and free Icees. Tyler and Jacob played a little Street Fighter in the PS4 trailer, and we saw some old friends in different parts of the fair. Best of all, since we lingered late we got $2 burritos for breakfast, and Tyler got a free donut!

Special Date with Tyler

'On Jacob's birthday had a special date just with Tyler while Grandma Hobbs watched Elise. We love those one on one dates and I know they mean a lot to Tyler. The date started off with lunch at Freddy's, including a yummy sundae which we snuck into the movie, and then off to a 3D showing of Hotel Transylvania 2 per Tyler's request. It was his first 3D movie and he loved it! Jacob's favorite part was having his arm around Tyler during the movie.

Fall Pumpkin Patch Fun!

This past weekend the kids and I met up with some friends at the Galloping Grace Pumpkin Patch. This was our first time at the new location. The ride was a little long but once we arrived, the kids had a blast. Our first stop was the corn pit. We spent a half hour just to ourselves before it got too busy. Elise's favorite part was the petting zoo, and Tyler loved the putt putt golf. We brought a lunch and at the end of the day each of the kids got to pick out pumpkins. Fun day!
Laila & Elise. These two could be sisters!
 Best Friends!

Tyler's first preschool field trip was at McCall's Pumpkin Patch and what made it more fun was that the whole family was able to come! Since we went so close to Halloween, there were no large pumpkins left over, and maybe because it was a weekday, many of the attractions weren't running.  They even ran out of the old fashioned soda, which is what Jacob was really looking forward to.
